Privacy, data and retention

AINE is built in Singapore and written to Singapore's PDPA as well as EU and UK GDPR. Here is what hosts need to know to run an event responsibly. The full legal text is in the Privacy Policy and Terms.

Your responsibilities as host#

Guests should know their photos are being captured and shared. AINE helps: the join screen shows a consent line (you can write your own in Settings), and guests can keep their shots off the wall. For events with children, sensitive settings or a company privacy policy, keep review on and write a consent line that fits.

Where data is stored#

• Photos, videos and event data are stored in Singapore.
• Some services AINE relies on (for example email delivery, analytics and AI processing) may process data in other countries. The Privacy Policy lists them.

Who can see the photos#

• You and your co-hosts see everything in the Album.
• The wall shows approved shots to anyone who opens the wall link.
• Each guest sees their own shots, and their keepsake shows their own approved shots.
• Photos are served from long, unguessable links. Anyone who has a direct link can open that photo, so share album downloads thoughtfully.

Ownership#

Guests keep the rights to what they capture; AINE only uses a licence to run the service for your event. Your photos are not used to train AI, and AINE does not use face recognition.

Automated screening#

To keep walls safe, new photos and drawings are checked automatically for unsafe content, and wish text is checked against a list of blocked words. Flagged items are held for your review. AI features you choose to use (wish characters, wish films and booth looks) process the relevant drawing or photo to create them.

How long photos are kept#

In Settings › Keep guest photos for you can choose a number of days (7 to 3,650). A number there can only shorten how long photos are kept, never lengthen a free plan. The After tab always shows when your album will be removed, if ever. Once files are removed they cannot be recovered or reopened.

Guest contact details and marketing#

• A guest's email is optional and used to send their keepsake.
• A separate tick box lets guests hear about running AINE at their own event. It is ticked by default and never affects delivery; unticking it still gets them every photo.
• Every marketing email has a one-tap unsubscribe. Unsubscribing never stops keepsakes or receipts.

Data requests#

To access, correct or delete personal data, or to remove a specific photo or an entire event, email support@aine.cam with the event code. Privacy requests are answered within 30 days. Hosts can hide any photo from the Album straight away while a request is handled.
