How AINE works
One QR code, every guest's phone, one live wall, and a film and keepsakes when it is over. Here is the whole journey and the handful of ideas that make the rest of this guide easy.
The journey of an event#

Key ideas#
Phases follow the clock#
Your event is in Before until 6 hours before the start time, Live from then until 12 hours after the start, and After once that passes or once you end it. The control room opens on the tab that fits the moment. An event with no date shows as Draft and stays in Before.
The shot pool#
Each plan comes with a total number of shots for the whole event. A photo or a video is one shot. By default everyone shares one pool; you can switch to a fixed number per guest. When shots run out, guests see a friendly card instead of the shutter. See How shots are counted.
Review before the wall#
You decide whether photos go straight to the wall or wait for your approval. You can auto-approve anything you have not looked at after a few minutes (this runs while a wall is open) so the wall never stalls. Wishes wait for approval by default. See Album and approvals.
Pause is not End#
Pause stops guests sending anything for a while and keeps the wall running. End closes the camera, cuts the film, sends keepsakes and starts the keeping clock. Use Pause for speeches. Use End once, when the night is over.
One event, one occasion#
A paid event is for one occasion. The name, venue and occasion lock around a day after the event starts, so an event cannot be reused for another party. Any later change is made by the AINE team via support@aine.cam.
What guests need#
- A smartphone with a camera and a modern browser (Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android). Nothing to install.
- A connection once, to open the camera. After that, shots are saved on the phone and send themselves when signal returns.
- An email address, optional but strongly encouraged, if they want their keepsake after the event.
